Happy Earth Day

About the April Sticker

The design inspiration behind this Earth Day sticker is rooted in the celebration of nature's vibrant beauty and the spirit of environmental consciousness. Featuring cheerful illustrations such as a radiant sun, an assortment of colorful flowers, and whimsical mushrooms, the sticker embodies the joy and vitality of our planet. Notably, in a nod to sustainability and the interconnectedness of all life, the design repurposes the bee motif used in a previous design, symbolizing the importance of recycling and honoring the natural world. Ultimately, the sticker aims to spread a message of positivity and encourage appreciation for Earth's abundant wonders.

Here at Sac State, sustainability is a priority. For more info on how the campus is working to reduce our environmental impact, visit the Sac State Sustainability page. Sac State Sustainability will also be hosting a FREE Earth Day celebration in the Library Quad on April 18 from 10 am- 2 pm. Campus departments will showcase information booths and demonstrations to promote green awareness. The event will also include a career fair.

As part of the effort, visit “Oscar” in The University Union Hornets Nest food court. Oscar is an interactive display where you can scan the items you intend to discard, and it will let you know which of the following bins it should go into: Recycle, Landfill, or Compost.
