The Well for me has become a safe space to socialize and learn from others within the community. Students and other members come together to support each other and their interests. Although they might not know it, people come to the Well to better themselves physically and mentally in order to get away from the chaos of their daily lives. Whether that's working out with their friends to clear their minds or talking to our mental health consolers to find organization. In all, the Well is inclusive to everyone to find a better you.

Hi! I am a student employee that currently works within the Recreational Therapy Department at The WELL. I feel grateful to be a part of this department that focuses on inclusive programming for all individuals of all abilities and backgrounds. Being able to offer many adapted/modified activities that allow for individuals, who may come from marginalized backgrounds, to feel a sense of belonging here at the WELL is incredible, and to actually witness those feelings come to life in our participants and members is moving. I honestly believe that there is always something for everyone here at the WELL, you just have to not be afraid to seek them out. So, with that, my advice to fellow hornets is to be okay with the uncomfortable, seek out the services that the WELL provides, or look for certain services you may need accommodated. The WELL is truly here for everyone!

What I love about working for UNION WELL Inc is that they accept me for as I am while encouraging me to be the best version of myself. There’s so much growth and unlearning in college. I think meeting such diverse people in this community has taught me so much. I love this sticker as it reminds me and my peers how differences should be celebrated. The goal of this sticker campaign is to promote a sense of belonging. I identify as non binary and pansexual. I like being me. Being in this workspace has allowed me to feel better with that statement. Working under UWI has made me love being me. There are so many resources and uplifting people around me. It feels really great to give back everyday and encourage my peers to also be the best version of themself. My advice to my peers and those reading is to take the chance. Love who you love. Embrace yourself. Realize that there are people there for you. UWI is here for everyone.
